Russia and China signed a contract for delivery of six divisions of S-400 air defense systems, Lenta.ru reports with reference to Strategy Page. Under the agreement PRC will pay around $500 million for each division. The contract also includes personnel training, deliveries of spare parts and additional missiles. The signing of the contract is yet to be confirmed.

Each division will comprise eight launchers (each having two missiles), command vehicle (command and control center), radar station and launch stations (contains 16 missiles each). Several divisions will be deployed on the shore from Taiwan’s side, the rest ones – from the side of Japan, Vietnam and South Korea.

It was reported in November 2014 that Russia and China signed contract for delivery of six divisions of S-400 systems. The deal was valued at $3 billion. It was reported that the agreement was signed in early autumn. Later the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation dismissed the report claiming the “deal has not been approved yet”.
