The idea of ​​building a canal on the territory of Nicaragua is not new, but so far come close to its implementation failed. Only a year ago, Parliament adopted such a decision, and President Daniel Ortega, once one of the Soviet Union, signed it. Perhaps this old friendship with the socialist camp and played a role. After all, the main investor and contractor is China, albeit no longer a socialist, but still. Economic participation of Russia also assumed, but to a lesser extent than the Chinese. Our main function is not the case. Ortega too well aware of his powerful neighbor to the north, and therefore concluded an agreement with Russia on military cover-up of the project.
Under this agreement, the Russian warships and aircraft will be able to freely serve in the territorial waters of Nicaragua. There will also be created with all necessary technical infrastructure. Simply put, the two great powers, Russia and China together will press the third great power - the United States on the territory of its vital interests. In fact, it is the same as the secret US involvement in the initiation of the Ukrainian crisis. They wanted to force Russia to accept the inevitable and accept the unacceptable infringement of their rights. Russia did not agree. Now, here, is preparing to strike back in the opponent's territory.
And here there is a danger of a new conflict. US violently suppressed all previous attempts to deprive them of their monopoly right to control the transit, so why do they suck now? Suck.
