INTERFAX.RU-Meat with 3 December introduced temporary restrictions on deliveries to Russia of pedigree cattle from two regions of Italy (Apulia and Tuscany) for registration of new hotbeds of bluetongue.
Restrictions also apply to the export of wild, zooparkovyh and circus animals susceptible to bluetongue, camels and other members of the camel family, semen of bulls, Rams and goats producing embryos cattle, Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement.
In addition, meat production with 10 November prohibited the supply of animals and animal products from Bács-Kiskun (Hungary) and with the whole territory of Montenegro-also due to bluetongue outbreaks there registration.
Earlier in September, the Russian veterinary service enacted similar restrictions on deliveries from the Italian region of Marche. Ban also addressed the supply of animals from several regions of Greece (Central Greece, Central, Western and Eastern Macedonia, Thrace).
Food sanctions imposed by Russia on 7 August for sel′hozsyr′â and food from a number of countries, including from the European Union, do not apply to live animals.
